About the ING International Survey

The ING International Survey is one of the biggest surveys of its type in Europe and develops a better understanding of how retail customers – and potential customers – of ING Bank around the globe spend, save, invest and feel about money.

Each year, the ING International Survey reports on Savings, Mobile Banking, Homes and Mortgages, as well as special topics such as financial education, decision making and Christmas season spending habits. The surveys uphold the objective in ING’s mission statement of "empowering people to stay a step ahead in life and in business”.
The ING International Survey is a unique partnership between ING’s Group Research team, economists, market researchers and communications staff of ING across more than a dozen countries – and the thousands of people who share their thoughts and feelings about the way they manage money via our survey partner Ipsos.
Since its launch in 2012, the ING International Survey has developed into a flagship thought leadership initiative that has been included at events hosted by the United Nations, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the European Mortgage Federation. The findings on savings, mobile banking, homes and mortgages and special topics have featured on a range of influential media outlets including the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, CNBC and Sky News.
