Lesson 10 from the financial crisis “emerging markets cannot be ignored”

ING Group chief economist explains why emerging markets cannot be ignored.

It is the topic of the tenth – and final – instalment of a new 10-video series for eZonomics on lessons from the financial crisis. The series show his personal view.

“Compared with the US stock market, emerging market stocks performed much better over the past decade,” said Cliffe. “Of course, there’s no guarantee that this will be repeated. But investors can no longer afford to ignore the emerging markets. “
